SERVICE WITH CARE – CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) OUTBREAK
Since the approval from the government to resume back business in the province, we at “Pure Fresh Furnace & Duct Cleaning Inc.” have decided to continue providing cleaning services to our valued clients both in-home and commercial dwellings. As a norm during this pandemic outbreak, we are ensuring that our staff remain vigilant and stay perfectly healthy by exercising all safety protocols mandated by the Ministry of Health. Vice-versa, we are also taking precautionary measures to ensure that all our clients are following the same protocols. To ensure the health and safety of both our staff and our valued clients, we have taken the following measures;
For Additional Safety Measures We Have Added:
- Increased observation of our staff health and wellness policies
- High focus on hand washing and use of hand sanitizer before and after each job
- Observing physical distancing, and eliminating handshaking
- Disinfection of vehicles, equipment, tools, and hand-held terminals after every cleaning
- Increased frequency of disinfection of vehicle touchpoints
- Wearing face masks/coverings in customer’s dwellings
Requirements for Cleaning:
As a new norm, most people in Canada area are exercising a daily lifestyle of healthy and free of the COVID-19 virus, however, we are taking extra precautions to screen our customers to ensure that our staff are not exposed;
- Let us know if you have traveled outside of the country or are having close contact with someone who has traveled overseas within the past 14 days. We can reschedule your appointment to ensure that you can observe the required self-isolation period,
- Let us know if anyone in your home is self-isolating or quarantined – we will re-schedule your appointment,
- Let us know if you or anyone in your home is having a cough, fever, respiratory problems, are in close contact with someone who works in a high-risk Covid-19 area, or are showing any Covid-19 symptoms. We will set your appointment to follow up in 2 weeks to re-schedule.
We are asking our customers to provide access to hand washing facilities for our employees while they are in your home.
Physical Distancing During Appointments;
Our Specialists & Technicians are required to maintain physical distancing through-out the cleaning appointment, and we are working to minimize the number of people our employees are in contact with. We ask that you and any of your family members present at the time of cleaning to stay away from the cleaning area while our employees work, and that you do not schedule non-essential visitors or other service companies to be in your home while we are present.
For your comfort, if you would rather not be present in your home while our staff are cleaning, this can be set up with our office. Our staff are honest, trustworthy, insured, and background checked, and have cleaned for many customers while they are not at home. Sanitizing/Disinfecting Your Ducting Systems;
Unfortunately, even at a time like this, there are companies who are willing to take advantage of the fear and concern about the virus and try to sell products with misleading information. There are certainly various types of disinfectants available that can be applied to your ducting systems, however, no product has been approved by Health Canada for true disinfection of surfaces or the environment against the Corona Virus.
In the heating and ventilation systems, coverage and application cannot be controlled to the extent required to confirm disinfection has occurred. Based on information from the World Health Organization and our government about how COVID-19 spreads, applying disinfectant to your ducts or carpets is not a measure we would recommend to protect yourself or prevent the spread of COVID-19. When it comes to disinfecting your home, your best bet is to focus on high-touch surfaces (such as counters, door knobs, light switches, and electronics).
If you or someone in your home has had COVID-19 and you are booking a cleaning following their illness, please inform our office at the time of booking so that we can take all necessary precautions.
Rescheduling Appointments;
If you are unable to commit to the cleaning schedule, instead of cancelling it, we are requesting that you would allow us to re-schedule your appointment to a safer date in the future. At that time, we will reach out to you, re-evaluate, and decide whether to go ahead or to move it further out. This will allow us to prioritize your plan when you are ready, and ultimately keep Canadians healthy.
